EMG MUSCLE RESPONSE
Test OVERVIEW
Electromyography (EMG) is a diagnostic procedure to assess the health of muscles and the nerve cells that control them (motor neurons). EMG results can reveal nerve dysfunction, muscle dysfunction or problems with nerve-to-muscle signal transmission. The results of an EMG can provide useful information about the health of your motor neurons and muscle function.

WHY
Why would you do this test? Electromyography (EMG) is a diagnostic procedure to assess the health of muscles and the nerve cells that control them (motor neurons). EMG results can reveal nerve dysfunction, muscle dysfunction or problems with nerve-to-muscle signal transmission. Using EMG we are able to analyze the muscles electrical response to test to identify performance related issues.
RECOMMENDED
Who is this test recommended for? EMG muscle analysis is recommended for only the top athletes that are in the pursuit of absolute perfection.

HOW OFTEN
How often should you repeat this test? Each muscle group is recommended to be tested 1 time per year to help athletes identify any increases or dips in performance.
BODY PARTS
Which body parts are or can be tested? The EMG muscle response tests can analyze every muscle in your body.
RESULTS
What are the results of this test? EMG and NCS are tests that measure the electrical activity of the muscles and nerves of the body, usually to an arm or a leg. The tests can help identify nerve injury or muscle disease such as carpal tunnel syndrome, a pinched spinal nerve, peripheral neuropathy, myositis, or ALS.
SUMMARY
What does this help to improve? EMG may be used to analyse muscle dysfunction in athletes, detect inappropriate muscle activation patterns and assist in establishing and assessing treatment outcomes in conditions like incontinence and low back pain.
